It's been almost a month since I last updated, but I havn't heard a complaint from anyone. I havn't
been able to find a modeller to help us out, and there doesn't seem to be much interest in the game. I'm
happy with the result of this mod. There likely won't be any more updates to it. I may join another Half-Life
mod team, and I'll probably do work on a HL2 mod when it comes out, so be on the look out for me in the future.
If anyone's interested in looking at the source code for In Limbo just ask and I'll put it up on the website.

The release went smoothly. I haven't gotten as much feedback as I wanted but we did have a good number of people
visit the server (which is now down). If you want to get in on some multiplayer In Limbo action you could start
your own server, or visit this site for information on planned play dates where we will have an official server
up and several people playing. As far as future work on the mod, our first priority is to find some modelers and
mappers to help us out. The next release will be mostly a media update, with (hopefully) new models, maps, sounds,
and 2d art. After that I'll jump back into the code and add things like game objectives, new classes, new weapons,
and a redesigned HUD.

In Limbo is now available for you to download. We strongly encourage you to leave us any comments, suggestions,
bug reports, or anything else. Send me an email or stop by the forums. The official server will be up starting around
5:00 pm est, after I finish sending the release news to all the major sites. Simply unzip the file into your half-life
folder to install it. Further directions on how to make a shortcut are in the readme and on this site's download
page.

I hope you all enjoy the game. Expect the next release to be mainly bug fixes and content updates. We are still
looking for mappers and modelers to help us out.

Tomorrow will be the first release of In Limbo as promised. I will have the game in finished form and in an install
file tonight. In the morning I will send it to the mirrors, and that afternoon I will post the links to the files
right here. I will be sacrificing my computer and internet connection this weekend in order to run a dedicated server
for you guys to play the game on. I can't keep the official server up forever but it will be available all weekend for
people to try out the game. Friday night I hope the server is full all the time so that we can get people's reactions
and so we can all experience the game as it was meant to be played. And now I have for you:
the game manual. Go
read up on our mod so that you're ready to jump into a server as
soon as you finish downloading it.

The first release of In Limbo, known as version 0.50, will be Friday, September 5th. That should give us enough time
to finish up anything that needs to be done. It was less than a year ago that I saw my first line of c++ code and it
feels great to have gotten this far with the game. Unfortunately, we won't have a Linux server version for this release.
We also have no official dedicated servers planned, I just don't have the money to be able to do that right now. I will
run a server from my home machine on a DSL line, and I will try to keep it up as often as possible. Hopefully enough
fans will run servers to meet the demand from the players. It's also very important that we get a lot of feedback from this
release. So if you even just download it and run around in a lan game for a little bit please still drop by the forums
or send me an email with your comments.
